Why I Built Loujo: Turning the "Dyslexia Struggle" into a Secret Weapon
For many parents, the word "dyslexia" comes with a lot of anxiety. You see your child’s brilliance, their creativity, their quick wit, and their problem-solving skills but then you see the "literacy wall." You see the frustration during homework, the tears over spelling lists, and the slow fade of their self-confidence.
I know that feeling intimately. Not just as a founder, but as someone who lived it.
A Personal Journey
I grew up with dyslexia. I understand firsthand how exhausting it is to navigate a traditional education system that feels like it was designed for a different kind of brain. In school, success is often measured by how well you can sit still, read a page, and write a summary. When your brain is wired differently, those "simple" tasks feel like climbing a mountain every single day.
The real turning point for me came when I looked at my niece. As she began to show signs of dyslexia, I watched history repeat itself. I saw that the traditional methods, the heavy reliance on reading and writing were already starting to fail her. She wasn’t the problem; the method was.
I knew I had to create something that worked with her cognition, not against it. That was the spark that became Loujo.
