A guide to the Loujo platform

This guide details the essential steps for key tasks on the Loujo platform, based on your user role.

I. School Administrator (Setup and Oversight)

The Admin is responsible for inviting staff and parents, and overseeing performance.

A. Inviting Teachers and Parents

  1. Navigate to the Teacher Management or Student Management sidebar tab.

  2. Click the Invite Teachers or Invite Parent tab/button.

  3. Type or paste the email addresses into the field.

  4. Click Send Invitation to dispatch the invite emails.

  5. View pending invites in the Pending Invite tab. Current users are displayed in the Current Teacher/Student tab.

B. Tracking School Performance

  1. Click the Dashboard sidebar tab.

  2. Review the Overview for overall student engagement and quiz activity.

  3. Scroll down to set performance thresholds for quizzes.

  4. View the table of top-performing students.

II. Teacher (Content Creation and Class Management)

The Teacher focuses on generating content, creating quizzes, and managing classes.

A. Creating a New Class

  1. Navigate to the Manage Classes sidebar tab.

  2. Click the New Class button.

  3. Create a name and description (optional).

  4. Once created, you can edit details, manage students, and assign songs to the whole class.

B. Generating a New Song (Simple Mode)

  1. Click the Song Library sidebar tab.

  2. Click Generate New Songs at the top right corner.

  3. Select a Subject and Key Stage from the dropdown lists.

  4. Pick a Genre from the dropdown list.

  5. Enter the detailed learning content in the Song Description/Prompts box (this generates the lyrics).

  6. Optional: Click Advanced Mode to adjust Style Weight, Creativity Level, Vocal Gender, and Preferred Instruments.

  7. Select one of the two lyric options provided.

  8. Click Generate Song.

C. Listening and Assigning Songs

  1. Once the download is complete, press the Play button to listen.

  2. The song title is automatically generated.

  3. Click the three dots icon to edit the title or delete the song.

  4. Use the controls at the bottom to adjust volume or click the lyric icon to display the lyrics.

  5. Assign the song to a class or an individual.

D. Creating an AI-Generated Quiz

  1. Navigate to the Quiz Management sidebar tab.

  2. Click the Generative with AI button.

  3. Enter a Quiz Title and select the corresponding Song from the dropdown list.

  4. Edit the Number of Questions and select the Difficulty Mode (Easy, Medium, Difficult).

  5. Optional: Fill in Curriculum Stage, Subject, Educational Context, Learning Objectives, and Time Limit.

  6. Click Generate Quiz to create the assessment.

III. Parent (Child Management and Progress Tracking)

The Parent manages the student profile and tracks their progress.

A. Adding a Child

  1. Navigate to the My Children sidebar tab.

  2. Click the Add Child button.

  3. Add the student's first name, last name, and year.

  4. The child's details can be deleted or edited in the student profile section below.

B. Accessing Assigned and Custom Songs

  1. Click the Song Library sidebar tab.

  2. To see the work set by the school, click the Assigned by Teacher button.

  3. To see songs you have created for home learning, click the Generated by Me button.

  4. Note: You can generate new songs using the same Simple/Advanced Mode process outlined for Teachers (Section II-B).

C. Monitoring Child Progress

  1. Click the Dashboard sidebar tab.

  2. The dashboard displays the child's performance metrics, including: Quizzes Complete, Average Score, Current Streak, Average Time, Weekly Progress, and Subject Progress.

  3. Review the Recommendations to guide your child's next steps.
